Our client is one of the UK’s largest privately owned real estate investment & development companies, operating across residential, commercial & hospitality sectors. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Quantity Surveyor to join a £90m Development in Liverpool City Centre .

Purpose of Job

Responsible for the commercial control and management of projects ensuring that our clients parameters of project risk, commercial targets and ethics are both managed and achieved.

General Duties

Generally, with the assistance of a Project Quantity Surveyor and / or an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (including the delegation of activities and the management of such roles also), key duties (but not limited to) will include:

  1. The development, monitoring, controlling and reporting of project cost parameters

  2. The development and management of Sub-Contractor procurement

  3. The development and monitoring compliance of contractual and legislative obligations

  4. The development and management of project cash flows and valuation obligations

  5. Maintaining Client and Sub-Contractor relations

  6. Assistance in compliance with Health and Safety targets

  7. Sub-Contractor management & administration and general administration

  8. Work in collaboration with the Commercial Department (Commercial Manager and / or Project Quantity Surveyor and / or Assistant Quantity Surveyor) and the wider project construction team for successful timely, safe, quality and profitable project delivery.

  9. The management and development in accordance with company training and development policies and plans of subordinate staff members such as the Project Quantity Surveyor and or Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

  10. Development and management of Client / Main Contract issues including the external Application for Payment and contract variations, extension of time, delay etc factors.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Degree qualified - BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or similar qualification

  • Proven experience working at similar level / role for a developer and/or main contractor
