18 Rec are looking for Permanent Property Surveyors for our client who are a leading property business, renowned for providing excellent customer service to the communities they serve, and a vital part of this is how they engage with residents.
As a Property Surveyor, you will be expected to:
To work in the Asset Management team taking day to day responsibility for the management of Responsive Repairs including the legal disrepair protocol. Surveying void properties ensuring timescales for repairs and re-letting are kept to a minimum.
Work within prescribed budgets whilst providing a high level of customer satisfaction and management of associated risk.
Work closely with key internal colleagues and external partners to deliver excellent customer services.
Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
HNC/HND in Building Surveying/Studies or equivalent.
Significant experience of a reactive repairs and maintenance service.
Fully conversant with legislative requirements in relation to landlords’ consultative and repairing obligations.
Excellent IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office and Housing and Maintenance applications.
Strong commitment to team working.
Knowledge of contract compliance issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent communication skills, possessing the ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the Organisation across multiple communication channels including Teams and face-to
Ability to use Microsoft office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Ability to work in an agile working environment.
Team player with the ability to work off own initiative.
A full driving licence and use of vehicle for work.
The successful applicant to the role of Property Surveyor will have a sound track record in a commercial role for a main contractor, delivering projects through to successful profitable completion.
You will be an enthusiastic and committed team-player able to thrive in a fast-moving environment. Naturally you will be expected to demonstrate commercial awareness, legal and contractual knowledge and experience and sound data interrogation skills.
